Weigh in – January 31

Heaviest weight 345 lbs
Starting weight 299 lbs (Oct 01, 2011)
Current weight 257 lbs (Jan 31, 2012)
Weight loss 42 lbs in 4 months

Woo hoo! I’m still losing. This morning on my home scales I was 257 lbs (2 lb off this week)

I’ve looked back and there was only one blip (5lb on) and that was Christmas and instead of that leading to a reversal of all the good work I’d done to date (as it’s always done before), I got right back to it…

I’m almost daring to hope that finally, after 15 years of morbid obesity, I have found my way….

    • Thanks Paul- I really do feel healthier everyday too… just being able to walk again has been the most exciting thing. The simple joys…. xxxx

    • Lesley- I know I will this time. It would kill me if I quit now- it won’t happen. I feel too good to return to being 300 lbs + where everything was such a struggle 🙁 I really hope you get to where you want to be. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  1. That’s wonderful!!! Congratulations 🙂 Liz is right, you are beaming with pride and happiness and so you should!

    • Hee hee!! Thanks Cynthia! They just had a retirement lunch here at work at brought in about 10 huge pizzas- the smell was just so wonderful BUT I stuck with my potatoes, salad and raw veggies and kidney beans!! DROOL!!!!

  2. You’ll be able to ‘slide down the bannister’ soon gorgeous girl – Keep up the good work and let me know when your Siouxsie moment happens 🙂

  3. It is time!! Just been to the Dr’s who has doubled my blood pressure tablets!! In an attempt to get them lowered again I have just made a chuck-away-soup from the remnants of the fridge and some potatoes – it is surprisingly nice – Leeks, onions, mushrooms and celery – all a bit wilting but good for soup and hopefully filling and nutritious!

Housework is done to the dulcet tones of David Bowie – my ”me” time 🙂

  4. I just found your blog, and I want to tell you how much I admire you. Such an interesting and clever diet idea. You have obviously done very well so far, and I wish you the best of luck regarding your future weight loss.
