Gym and Weight Loss Update – 15th November 2016

Enjoyed some walking and jogging on the treadmill tonight with my friend Bertie and had a lot going on in my head so grabbed my phone and just talked.

My weight has gone up from about 255 lbs to 266 lbs in the last 4 weeks (and I had put 5 or 6 lbs on before that too) so I am really trying hard to get back on track and focused.

As a person who has been morbidly obese most of the last 20 years or so you have a huge fear of once you have lost some weight that you will lose control and put it all back on again (lets face it – we’ve all probably been there many times). I used to be 345 lbs and NEVER want to be there again because it was painful and unhealthy. My goal currently is to get below 250 lbs by Christmas and get below 200 lbs to run the London Marathon in April 2017 as a runner for the Royal British Legion.

Night night, never give up!

  1. New to your blog and I love your honesty and positive attitude! I wish you continued success and will enjoy reading future posts. 🙂

  2. Hon, I so empathise! Yo yo’d all my adult life….it’s so hard , not just to lose the weight but to keep it off…I went from 14st to 10.5st 4 years ago and I’ve crept back up to 13.5st again…at this time of year I find it especially hard, not just because of all the lush food about, but I also find it quite a depressing time…Yep, I’m a comfort eater….chin up m’dear, we can do it! 😀

  3. Carolyn, you seem to be struggling a little bit at the moment. Can I suggest you go back and view your video upload from 5th March this year? You were doing really well then and it might help to get your mind-set back into gear. You are doing so well in the grand scheme of things, do everything in your power now to get back on track. Stay positive lovely lady. x

  4. Can only do my goals two pound at a time and when I get there it feels good. Try smaller goals, they all count and you can pat yourself on the back loads more! Think one day at a time and by the end of the week you will have seven without really trying, then have a non food treat! Manicure, new shoes, whatever makes you feel good 😊 Know you can get on track, but you are amazing anyway xx

  5. I, too, struggle with weight loss. I’ve been trying to lose 55 lbs and I can’t seem to manage it. It may not seem like a lot to lose, but to me it is. I’ve lost 20 and gained back 25. I once got down to my ideal weight, but I panicked and regained everything I lost and more! I was afraid I would keep losing and not be able to stop! My mother had an eating disorder and died at 68 lbs. I feared that I, too, would end up like that because I know how to lose and how to gain weight, but not how to maintain it. I see myself in your struggles and gain inspiration from you. I will not give up! Thanks for being there for all of us!
