  1. Thank you so much for the planner, it will be so useful. Iv decided my meal plans will be seasonal, so our winter menu will be Dec to Feb. Till our home grown food harvest comes in we will have to buy our veg in. And im limiting just 4 oz meat per person x 4 days for main meals. There is only 2 of us so it will be easy to work out. l day will be our cheese ration and 2 days vegetarian. So far it looks like this. Mon-lentil shep pie & seasonal veg.,Tue-vegan low fat suet meat pud & seasonal veg.,wed -vegan toad in hole with onion gravy & seasonal veg.(+ my baking day)Thurs-slow cooker Veg stew & dumplings (My shop day) Frid -Meat &veg pie ( made wedwith potato pastry)& low fat oven chips.
Sat- oat pastry cheese & onion quiche(made wednesday) & winter salad. Sunday- meat &veg pie, low fat roast potato’s & 2 veg.Lunch everyday will be hm slow cooker soups& herb scones(herbs from garden) batch baked on wednesday).Treats/snacks will garden fruits or low fat carrot fruit cake, low fat choc cake/puds ,oat biscuitsor hm jam or garden fruit no fat sponge puds. l need to have a set plan as hubby will now work at least l hr a day x5 in the veg garden so our baking day and slow cooker will be useful. Our menu does have a lot of carbs but will need it working in the garden, but it has loads of vegetables+fruit is very low fat &sugar. l hope it works as l start it nk week.

  2. I had just finished reading this article on BBC and parts were remarkably applicable to this… idea is that during wartime, “when availability of food diminished, the idea of eating a full breakfast wasn’t possible and a lot of people skipped it” or were happy with a piece of bread with jam. And the final paragraph says, “”When we came off rations, we embraced three meals a day because there was suddenly an abundance of food.” It will be interesting to see how you plan your meals on rations! 🙂 (https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20220412-should-we-be-eating-three-meals-a-day)
